Antique print, titled: ”Aftocht en inscheping der vijandelijke Engelsche en Russische legers, van de stranden van Noord-Holland.” – (Departure and embarkation of English and Russian armies from the beaches of North Holland). On the beach large armies are embarking while the victorious Dutch army celebrates to the left. From a series of four prints related to the war between the French-Batavian army and the Russian and English alliance.Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after ‘Jan Langendijk (?)’. Jan Anthonie Langendijk (1780-1818) was a painter and draughtsman, like his father Dirk Langendijk before him.

Condition: Very good, given age. A browned band over the right side of the print. Two faint dampstains in the left of the image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
