Condition: fair, given age. Light foxing, creasing, and soiling. Horizontal and vertical middle fold with somepaper separation at the folds. Uncut paper edges, with some chipping. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Published by Johan Noman (Zaltbommel); sold by Folkert Holtkamp, Sneek. Part of the Dutch popular print tradition (volksprent), ca. 1806–1830.

Biography engraver: Gerrit Oortman (1777–1830) was a Dutch printmaker and publisher known for producing popular prints (volksprenten). His works often featured moralizing, humorous, and didactic subjects intended for a broad audience, combining simple woodcut imagery with explanatory verses.
