Condition: fair, given age. Folds and creases. On reverse vague brown circle. Collector stamp. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

This attractive print was published in Amsterdam ca 1705.

Provenance: Collector stamp L.A. de Vries.

Biography engraver: Pieter/ Petrus Schenk / Schenck the elder (1660-1711/1713), a very important German engraver and cartographer active in Amsterdam and Leipzig. One of his specialties was the mezzotint.
