Made by Gabriel Huquier after Edme Bouchardon. Gabriel Huquier (1695-1772) was a important French rococo engraver and publisher in Paris. He is the father of Jacques Gabriel Huquier (1725-1805), also known as Huquier fils, a portrait-painter and engraver. Edme Bouchardon (1698-1762) was a French sculptor, who was seen as the greatest sculptor of his time. Edme Bouchardon was an artist and sculptor to King Louis XV.

Condition: Very good, given age. Light staining, particularly at left and top middle. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
