This print shows a view on the province of Biscay and the Gulf of Biskay in Spain. It is situated east of Asturia and goes as far as the border of France and the Pyrenees. On the reverse there is a printed Dutch tekst from the book.
Made by an anonymous engraver after van der Aa.
Medium: engraving on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 15.6 x 12.2 cm (6.14 x 4.8 inch). Image size: 15.6 x 12.2 cm. (6.14 x 4.8 inch).
Condition: good, given age. Brownish paper. No margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This print was published in: Pieter van der Aa “Delices de Espagne et Portugal” ,Leyden (Holland) in several editions between 1707-30. This print comes from the Dutch edition. It was the most enlightened work about Spain published in the first half of the 18th century.
