Plate 91: ‘Chrysostomos in ballingschap geleyd’ (Chrysostomos being led into exile). It shows: Chrysostomos, in the company of six armed guards, being led into the wild country for his exile. This original engraving originates from ‘Tafereelen der eerste Christenen, bestaande in 92 konstprenten’ (Scenes of the first Christians, in 92 prints). This book was published in 1740 in Amsterdam by Gerrity de Groot and Jacobus Rijkhof. The prints by Luyken are accompanied by texts by P. Langendyk and C.
