Antique print, titled: ”Slavande et Lichtenberg pres de Maestricht.” – A landscape near the Dutch city Maastricht, with the ruin Lichtenberg, located on St. Pietersberg. View of the river Maas, with boat and the ruin and Sint Pieter in the background. This scarse plate originates from: ‘Voyage Pittoresque dans le Royaume des Pays-Bas.’, by Mr. De Cloet, published in Bruxelles, 1825.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Jean Baptiste Madou’ after ‘Le Cap. Roloff’. This plate drawn on stone by Madou, printed by Jobard. Jean Baptiste Madou (1796-1877) originated from Brussels. He is considered to be one of the pioneers of lithography in Belgium. Ambroise Jobard (active around 1830) was a Belgian lithographer, active in Brussels and Amsterdam.

Condition: Very good, given age. A few foxing stains in the margins and image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
