Antique print, titled: ‘De Groote of Sint Jans-kerk te Gouda.’ – The interior of the Sint Janskerk (St. John’s Church) in Gouda, famous for its stained glass windows (visible in the background and on the right side). Source unknown, to be determined.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Carl Wilhelm Mieling’ after ‘Dirk Johannes van Vreumingen’. Carl Wilhelm Mieling (1815-1903) was a lithographic printer in the Netherlands. Dirk Johannes van Vreumingen (Gouda 1818-1897) was a Dutch painter. He was the son of pastry (and the famous stroopwafel) maker Dirk van Vreumingen.
Condition: Good, given age. Foxing in the margins and edges of the image. Small tears in margin, reinforced using contemporary paper. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
