Medium: Engraving / etching on hand laid (verge) paper. Watermark: French lily, lettering AI.

Sheet size: 35.5 x 29.5 cm (13.98 x 11.61 inch). Image size: 34.5 x 26.8 cm. (13.58 x 10.55 inch).

Condition: good, given age. Remains of glue in upper corners. Stain on reverse. Crease in middle. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

This attractive print was published by Pieter Schenk (II) who was a Dutch publisher, print artist, art dealer (1693-1775).

Biography engraver: Jan de Visscher (1636-1692-1712, Amsterdam), was a Dutch Golden Age engraver who became a painter in later life.

Biography artist: Philips Wouwerman (1619-1668) was a Dutch painter of hunting, landscape and battle scenes.
