Made by ‘Aegidius Sadeler II’ after ‘Roelant Savery ‘. Aegidius Sadeler II (1570-1629) was a flemish painter and engraver, son of Aegidius I. He was the greatest engraver of the Sadeler family. Roelant Savery (1567-1639) was a printmaker, painter and draughtsman. He was the brother of Jacob. Lived and worked originally in Amsterdam. Went to Prague in 1603 and worked at the court of Rudolph II. Returned to the Netherlands in 1613.
Condition: Good, given age. Some staining. Trimmed near plate edges. Bottom margin and captions trimmed, remargined. Remains of paper from previous attachment on rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
