Plate: ‘Ragotin declame des vers des paysans croyent qu’il presche.’ (Ragotin declaims the verses of the peasants who believe he preaches.) Original Master Print, published ca. 1732-1740. This plate is part of a series: ‘Cycle du Roman comique au chateau de Sans-Souci.’ , based on Paul Scarron: ‘Le Roman comique.’ (1651 et 1657).
