Made by ‘P. Tanje’ after ‘Gerard Honthorst’. Pieter Tanje (1706-1761) was an 18th century Dutch engraver from the Northern Netherlands. He specialised in highly finished book illustrations. Gerard Honthorst (1592-1656), Dutch, Caravaggist painter.

Condition: Good, given age. Small tear at bottom right and right bottom, backed. Trimmed within plate mark. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
