Antique print, titled: ‘Vitus Lodewyk van Seckendorf.’ – Portrait of Veit / Vitus Ludwig von Seckendorf (1626-1692), German statesman and scholar, was a member the Seckendorff family, which took its name from the village of Seckendorf between Nuremberg and Langenzenn. From: ‘Uitvoerige en Onpartydige Historie der Reformatie door Dr. Martin Luther’, by Vitus Lodewyk van Seckendorf, published in Delft, by Reinier Boitet, 1728.Artists and Engravers: Anonymous.
Condition: Fair, given age. Small stain in lower part of print and lower left. Crease in left top part of print. Three small tears in left margin and one of these in part of print. Lower margin remargined using contemporary paper backed with acid free archival tape, for framing purposes. Light soiling. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
