Antique print, titled: ”Walter Scott.” – A portrait of Sir Walter Scott, (1771 – 1832), a Scottish historical novelist, playwright, and poet. Source unknown, to be determined.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Jacob Hyrtl and Franz Xaver Stober’ after ‘Sir Thomas Lawrence’. Jacob Hyrtl (1799-1868) was an Austrian engraver. Franz Xaver Stober (1795-1858) was an Austrian engraver and etcher. Thomas Lawrence (1769-1830) was an English painter, mainly known for his portraits.

Condition: Very good, given age. Some small stains in margin. Old pencil annotation in the lower margin front and rear. Sheet overall a little soiled. Faintly dampstained in the lower right margin corner. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
