BACKGROUND INFORMATION

This attractive print was published in 1662.

Biography engraver: Richard Collin (1626-1698), was an engraver from Luxembourg.

Biography artist: Erasmus Quellinus II (1607-1678), also called Erasmus the Younger, was a Flemish baroque painter, draughtsman, printmaker and designer of prints and tapestries. He was a descendant of the prominent Quellinus family of artists, who mainly worked in Antwerp. . He was a student of Peter Paul Rubens.
