Made by Champollion after G. Dore. Eugene Andre Champollion (1848-1901) was a French engraver / etcher. Guided by Gaucherel he became a respected modern etcher. Paul Gustave Louis Christophe Doré (1832-1883) was a French artist, printmaker, illustrator, comics artist, caricaturist, and sculptor from Strasbourg who worked primarily with wood-engraving.
