Made by ‘A.H. Payne’ after ‘W.H. Bartlett’. Albert Henry Payne (English; 1812-1902) was one of the great publishers of steel engravings. Originally from London, he worked in Leipzig and Dresden.

Condition: Good, given age. Light creasing on top from binding. Some remains of attachment on rear. Small tear in bottom paper edge, not effectingimage. Minimal foxing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
