Antique print, titled: ‘Embarquement des Anglais en Hollande, le trente Novembre 1799.’ – (English boarding in the Netherlands, 30 November 1799). This print shows the boarding of English soldiers and riders in the Netherlands. From: “Campagnes des Francais sous le consulat et l’ empire”, after paintings by Carle Vernet, published by Viscontin, Paris, between 1815-1830.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Jacques Couche’ after ‘Jacques Francois Joseph Swebach-Desfontaines’. Jacques Couche (1759-1836), was a French engraver, student of Levasseur. Jacques Francois Joseph Swebach-Desfontaines (French. 1769-1823) specialised in battle scenes. He was also active as a decorator in the porcelain-manufacture.

Condition: Very good, given age. A small stain in the right edge of the image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
