Sheet size: 21,5 x 32 cm. (8,5 x 12,6 inch). Image size: 15 x 25,5 cm. (5,9 x 10 inch).

From: ‘Beschrijving hoedanig de Koninklijke Nederlandsche Troepen […]’, by J.F. Teupken, published in The Hague and Amsterdam by Gebr. Van Cleef, 1823. A supplement titled ‘Kleeding en Wapenrusting […]’ was published in 1826. Ref: Lipperheide 2255-2256; Colas 2864; Landwehr 455. Scarse.

Made by ‘K. Portman’ after ‘B. van Hove’. Bartholomeus-Johannes van Hove (1790-1880) was a Dutch architecture and genre painter from The Hague. He was a pupil of Broekenheymer. He became painter of the The Hague theatre. Author: J.F. Teupken

Condition: Good, given age. Light soiling near paper edges. Left paper edges a bit rough from binding. Very light creasing from handling. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
