Made by after an anonymous artist.

Medium: Engraving on handlaid (verge) paper.

Sheet size: 27.8 x 20.7 cm (10.94 x 8.15 inch). Image size: 22 x 15.5 cm. (8.66 x 6.1 inch).

Condition: good, given age. Little brownish on two edges. Diagonal fold. . General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

This attractive print was published in Theatrum Sive Hollandiae Comitatus et Urbium Nova Descriptio, Amstelodamum, page 96, in 1632 by Hendrik Hondius (1597-1651). On the reverse page 95 there is a description in Dutch of Tonneel van Holland.

Provenance: On the reverse the text in Dutch: “Haarlem A1120, a.m. van den Broek”. Collectorsstamp in circle vd B.

Biography engraver: Marcus Zuerius van Boxhorn (1612-1653).
