BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This attractive print was published in Theatrum Sive Hollandiae Comitatus et Urbium Nova Descriptio, Amstelodamum, page 96, in 1632 by Hendrik Hondius (1597-1651). On the reverse page 95 there is a description in Dutch of Tonneel van Holland.
Provenance: On the reverse the text in Dutch: “Haarlem A1120, a.m. van den Broek”. Collectorsstamp in circle vd B.
Biography engraver: Marcus Zuerius van Boxhorn (1612-1653).
