Medium: Engraving on handlaid (verge) paper.

Condition: good, given age. Wrinkels. Some folds. . General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

This attractive print was published in Theatrum Sive Hollandiae Comitatus et Urbium Nova Descriptio, Amstelodamum, page 356, in 1632 by Hendrik Hondius (1597-1651). On the reverse page 355 there is a description in Dutch of Delfshavia (Delfshaven).

Provenance: On the reverse the text in Dutch: “Inventaris Middel Kennemerland J1019, a.m. van den Broek”.

Biography engraver: Marcus Zuerius van Boxhorn (1612-1653).
