Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Reinier Vinkeles & Noach van der Meer’ after ‘Jaques Kuyper & Pieter Barbiers’. Reinier Vinkeles (Amsterdam; 1741-1816), was an 18th-century painter and engraver from the Northern Netherlands, who was the later teacher of several talented artists. He studied for some ten years with Jan Punt and joined the Amsterdam Stadstekenacademie. Noach van der Meer Jr. (Dutch; 1741-1822) was a famous book illustrator in Amsterdam. Jaques Kuyper (1761-1808) was a pupil of Andriessen and Izaak Schmidt. He worked as a history painter. Pieter Barbiers (1748-1842) worked in Amsterdam. He was part of the artist family Barbiers.
