Similar to ill. 55 in ‘Toneel ofte Vertoogh der Bybelsche Historien.’, published by Nicolaes Visscher in 1659. Ref: Compare to Hollstein 46-47 (P.H. Schut) Provenance: Collection mark vE in circle on rear. (not in Lugt) = van Ekelen.
Made by ‘Anonymous’ after own design. Possibly by or after Pieter Hendricksz. Schut (1619-1660).
Condition: Good, given age. Original vertical fold lines as issued. A few small tears in paper edges. Remains of paper tape from previous attachment on rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
