Jacques Scot, Duc de Monmouth, Fils naturel de Charles II, Roy d’Angleterre – This original antique print shows a portrait of James Scott, 1st Duke of Monmouth, 1st Duke of Buccleuch, KG, PC (9 April 1649 – 15 July 1685), a Dutch-born English nobleman. Originally called James Crofts or James Fitzroy, he was born in Rotterdam in the Netherlands, the eldest illegitimate son of Charles II of England, Scotland and Ireland, and his mistress Lucy Walter.

Etienne Jehandier Desrochers (1668-1741) was a French engraver and publisher, best known for his miniature portraits of contemporaries. Adriaen van der Werff (Dutch; 1659-1722) originated from Rotterdam. He was famous for his classical paintings.

Condition: Good, given age. A few small spots in the margins. Small damp stain bottom margin. A few crinkles near the edges. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
