Antique print, titled: ‘Roode gebakken tegel […].’ – Rare antique print. Depiction of a so-called Roan stone found the Brittenburg near Katwijk. This is actually a 16th. Century hearth brick. Illustration to “Aloude Hollandsche history de keyseren ,,,” by Gerard van Loon, published in 1734. Ref: FMH 71.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Francois van Bleyswijck’ after own design. Francois van Bleyswyck (active ca. 1720-1745) was a pupil of Picart. He mainly produced book illustrations.

Condition: Good, given age. Ample margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
