General von York (…) – This scarce original antique print depicts a portrait of Johann David Ludwig Graf Yorck von Wartenburg (born von Yorck; 1759 – 1830), a Prussian General feldmarschall instrumental in the switching of the Kingdom of Prussia from a French alliance to a Russian alliance during the War of the Sixth Coalition.

Source unknown, to be determined.

Made by J. C. Bock after an anonymous artist. Johann-Christoph Bock (1752- ) was a German engraver from Neurenberg, brother of Friedrich-Wilhelm Bock (1759-1805).

Condition: Good, given age. Cropped, small tear top left corner. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
