Biography engraver: Jan Wandelaar (1690-1759) was a Dutch painter and engraver who studied under several prominent artists. He is best known for his detailed anatomical illustrations, particularly for his collaboration with Bernhard Siegfried Albinus on Tabulae sceleti et musculorum corporis humani, one of the most famous works of anatomical art.
