Image size: 8.3 x 13.2 cm. (3.27 x 5.2 inch).

Condition: good, given age. Light foxing and soiling. Paper edges with some light staining. And irriegular per scan. Wormhole at bottom left. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

From: “Recueil des Figures, Groupes, Thermes, Fontaines, Vases, Statues, et Autres Ornemens de Versailles” by Simon Thomassin. The book was published between 1694 and 1724 by Simon Thomassin in Paris (1694), Pierre Mortier in Amsterdam (1695) and Rutgert Alberts in The Hague (1724).

Biography engraver: Simon Thomassin (1655-1733) was a French royal engraver known for documenting the sculpture and decoration of Versailles. His series are valued for their precision and elegance.
