Condition: very good, given age. Bottom right corner torn. Two stains on the middle left margin. Light foxing, creasing and soiling. Original vertical fold as issued. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Likely part of a city view series published in Antwerp in the late 17th century.

Biography engraver: Gaspar Bouttats (1640-1695/96) was a Flemish Baroque engraver from Antwerp, known for topographical city views and historical engravings. He collaborated frequently with Jan Peeters and published works depicting cities and fortifications throughout Europe. His engravings are highly detailed and were widely used in books.
Biography artist: Jan Peeters I (1624-1678) was a Flemish painter and draughtsman, renowned for maritime scenes, stormy seascapes, and topographical city views. Many of his drawings were engraved by Gaspar Bouttats and published as folio city views.
