Subject: Antique print, titled: ”Luilekkerland – Pays de Cocagne.” – This original antique catchpenny print shows 20 19th century scenes pertaining to Cockaigne, an imaginary place of extreme luxury and ease where physical comforts and pleasures are always immediately at hand and where the harshness of everyday peasant life does not exist. Text in Dutch and French.
Condition: Good, given age. Edges with a few small repaired tears. A few minor crinkles. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
Medium: Engraving with contemporary hand colouring. on wove paper.
