Biography engraver: Philippus Jacobus Brepols (1778-1845) was a Belgian printer, publisher and entrepreneur from Turnhout. He founded the Brepols publishing house, renowned for religious prints, chapbooks, educational material and popular game prints distributed throughout Belgium and the Netherlands during the nineteenth century.
