Genesis 8:20. “Sacrae historiae acta a Raphaele Urbin. in Vaticanis xystis ad picturae miraculum expressa Nicolaus Chapron”, first published in Rome, 1649. This work contains plates engraved after Raphael’s Vatican murals. Ref: IconClass 71B343.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Nicolas Chapron’ after an anonymous artist. The engraver of this work is Nicolas Chapron / Chaperon, French (1612-1656), designed after the Vatican murals by Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino (1483-1520). The publisher of this edition is Pierre Mariette (1634-1716).

Condition: Good, given age. Original tiny binding holes in the left margin (as issued, not affecting image). Some small stains in margin, not affecting image.
