Made by Joachim Sandrart after an anonymous artist. Joachim von Sandrart der Älte. (1606 – 1688). Sandrart, born in Frankfurt am Main, was a famour art historian, painter, engraver and translator. His most famous work ´Teutsche Academie…´ was published in 1675 and a second extended edition in 1679. Or by his son: Johann Jacob von Sandrart (1655-1698) was the son of Jacob von Sandrart, an engraver, art dealer and publisher from Nurnberg.

Condition: Good, given age. Light foxing and light creasing. Small rust stains in margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
