Biography engraver: Imprimerie Lemercier was an influential Parisian printing house, specializing in high-quality lithographs in the 19th century.

Biography artist: Thomas Cole (1801-1848) was a British-American landscape painter and the founder of the Hudson River School. His works emphasize the sublime power of nature.
