Original antique master print, titled: ‘La Cascade’. It shows an idyllic forest scene with a large waterfall in the background. In the foreground three figures are relaxing, while one man plays a flute.
Made by Carl Wilhelm I Kolbe after Salomon Gessner.
Medium: engraving / etching on wove paper.
Sheet size: 40.5 x 53 cm (15.94 x 20.87 inch). Image size: 36 x 46.5 cm. (14.17 x 18.31 inch).

Biography artist: Salomon Gessner (1730-1788) was a Swiss painter/poet. As a painter he represented the conventional classical landscape.
