BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Biography engraver: Jean Moyreau (1690-1762), French engraver and royal printmaker. Trained under Bon Boullogne. Known for high-quality reproductions after Watteau and Wouwerman, often for aristocratic collections.
Biography artist: Philips Wouwerman (1619-1668), Dutch Golden Age painter celebrated for equestrian and genre scenes. Highly collected in the 18th century.
