Condition: good, given age. Light foxing, creasing, and soiling. Wormhole at top left margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Published in Venice by the Wagner press (‘Appo Wagner Ven.a’), 1781.

Biography engraver: Joseph Wagner (1706-1786) was a German-born engraver and publisher active in Venice. He founded an important print publishing house producing reproductive engravings after Italian masters as well as devotional prints. His workshop remained active after his death, continuing to publish plates with his imprint.
