Medium: Engraving on hand laid (verge) paper.

Condition: good, given age. Remains of paper tape on rear from attachment. Light soiling. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Philip (or Philips) Galle (1537-1612) was a Dutch publisher, best known for publishing old master prints, which he also produced as designer and engraver. He is especially known for his reproductive engravings of paintings.
