Made by an anonymous engraver after Rembrandt van Rijn.
Medium: Etching on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 20 x 25.3 cm (7.87 x 9.96 inch). Image size: 18 x 20 cm. (7.09 x 7.87 inch).
Condition: good, given age. Ghosting from previous matting. Remains of paper on rear from prevous attachment. Light staining. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography artist: Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn (15 July 1606 – 4 October 1669), usually simply known as Rembrandt, was a Dutch Golden Age painter, printmaker, and draughtsman. An innovative and prolific master in three media, he is generally considered one of the greatest visual artists in the history of art. It is estimated Rembrandt produced a total of about three hundred paintings, three hundred etchings, and two thousand drawings.
