Later impression. This attractive print was published in the 19th century. No. 57 from a series.
Made by ‘Adamo Scultori’ after ‘Michelangelo’. Adamo Scultori Ghisi (1547-1587) from Mantua in Italy with monogram AS in lower left corner in the plate, after an mural on the ceiling of the Sistines Chapel.
Condition: Good, given age. Paper edges chipped amd untrimmed. Folds in some corners. Smudges in edges. Small tear in lower margin been restored. In pencil on front and on reverse: ‘Adam Ghisi dit Mantuam’ General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
