Medium: Etching on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 16 x 11.6 cm (6.3 x 4.57 inch). Image size: 15.8 x 11.3 cm. (6.22 x 4.45 inch).
Condition: very good, given age. Light soiling. Trimmed to image/plate mark. Thin paper at top left with some small paper loss in margin. Remains of paper from attachment on rear top. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Hermanus van Brussel (1763-1815) was a landscape painter and graphic artist from Haarlem. He was a student of J.B. Brandhof and Ed. Hendriks. He also painted decorations for the Amsterdam theatre and the Loo Royal Palace.
