Biography engraver: Anthonie Waterloo (1609?1690), Dutch etcher and painter. Renowned for poetic landscapes. Influenced by van Ruisdael and Simon de Vlieger.
Biography artist: Jacob Esselens (1626?1687), Dutch painter, said to have been a pupil of Rembrandt. Known for Italianate and coastal landscapes.
