Biography engraver: Cornelis Ploos van Amstel (1726?1798) was a Dutch artist, collector, and printmaker known for his experimental printing techniques. He pioneered methods of replicating drawings through etching and mezzotint.

Biography artist: Jan van Goyen (1596-1656) was a famous Dutch landscape painter from The Hague.
