Biography engraver: Pieter de Mare (Leiden; 1758-1796) was a Dutch etcher and engraver, active in Leiden and a student of Abraham Delfos.

Biography artist: Cornelis Visscher (1628/29?1658) was a Dutch draughtsman and engraver from Haarlem. Famous for his expressive portraiture and genre scenes, he had a distinctive, fluid engraving style.
