Condition: good, given age. Some remains of tape on rear from previous attachment. (not in Lugt). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The print is part of a twelve-part series of prints depicting peasants, titled “T’Leven Der Boeren” (the life of farmers).
Reference: Hollstein Dutch 83-2(2).
Provenance: With the collection mark EB in a double circle.
Biography engraver: Salomon Savery (1594-ca. 1665) was a Dutch artist, nephew of Roelant Savery. He was one of the most prolific printmakers associated with book illustration in 17th century Netherlands.
Biography artist: Pieter Jansz. Quast (1606-1647) was active as painter and etcher in the Hague. He specialised in genre scenes.
