Condition: good, given age. Light foxing, soiling, and creasing. Some small tears in paper edge with some small paper loss in bottom left corner, backed. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Published by Thomas Major in London circa 1737-1756.

Biography engraver: Dominique Sornique (1722-1756) was an 18th-century French engraver known for reproducing works by old masters. He specialized in mythological and religious themes, often based on Renaissance compositions.

Biography artist: Antonio Correggio (c. 1489-1534) was an Italian Renaissance painter famous for his mastery of chiaroscuro, dynamic compositions, and sensual mythological themes.
