Biography engraver: Francesco Bartolozzi (1727-1815) was an Italian engraver who worked in England and became one of the most celebrated printmakers of his time. Known for his stipple and line engravings of classical subjects and works by old masters.
Biography artist: Pietro da Cortona (1596-1669), born Pietro Berrettini, was an Italian Baroque painter and architect. His compositions are known for their grand theatricality and dynamic figures.
