Provenance: With a collection mark H.G. in oval: Hector Giacomelli 1822-1904 (Lugt 1311).

Biography engraver: Francois le Villain, a French printmaker and lithographer active between 1819-1822, was known for his detailed lithographs, including depictions of military life and uniforms.
