Original antique master print. It shows an attractively coloured coastal scene of two men on horses buying fish at the seaside. On the sea, in the background, are some fishing boats.
Made by William Chevalier after William Shayer.
Medium: engraving / etching with hand colouring on wove paper.
Sheet size: 55 x 44.5 cm (21.65 x 17.52 inch). Image size: 51 x 38 cm. (20.08 x 14.96 inch).
Condition: good, given age. Margins cropped, a small tear in the top margin backed with acid-free archival tape. Some foxing in the margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
