Biography engraver: Johannes (Jan) Visscher (c.1636-c.1692) was a Dutch engraver and mapmaker known for his landscapes and reproductions of works by Dutch Golden Age painters, especially Berchem.
Biography artist: Nicolaes Pietersz Berchem (1620-1683) was a Dutch Golden Age painter and draughtsman famous for pastoral scenes, often with cattle, ruins, and romanticized southern European settings.
